So it was our first
So it was our first time going to Chernobyl and we really weren’t sure of what company to go with. We decided to pay a bit extra and have a private tour with stalkerway, and no exaggeration, it was one of my best decisions of my life.
Our tour guide (her name escapes me unfortunately) was an older women who lived in Kyiv during the time it happened, and also worked as an interpreter for a number of years. She spoke excellent english and was genuinely enthusiastic and passionate about her job. Her knowledge and understanding of life under the soviet union and of Prypiat and the disaster was phenomenal (and I consider myself to be well educated on the matter too). It really made our trip memorable and we are very grateful to have her as our guide.
We also got to create our own itinerary, explore Prypiat at our own pace and skip the queue at the checkpoint. She was also able to point out some radioactive hotspots too that were unseen and unknown to us otherwise.
My only complaint is that the driver was 40 minutes late due to traffic, however although he didn’t speak english he was very nice and polite, and dropped us off at where we were staying in Kyiv.
Overall, this experience is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life, and I will 100% book with Stalkerway again.
Yes, the ghost town of Pripyat left a unique impression. Five locations. The guys from the company stalkerway made a good discount and gave a certificate for a tour of the Kiev dungeons. Cool!) I plan to visit the exclusion zone again in the fall or spring as the summer hid almost all kinds.
I spent two extraordinary days in the exclusion zone, the best trip of my life! ! ! !
If you’re looking for something else with adventure and adrenaline, try Stalkerway! ! !
Everything is included in the tour and my guide was very friendly: we spent great times together! ! !
Merci Bowop Monsieur Alex!
I was several times in the Chernobyl zone, and I booked excursions through different companies. And some things like the bus, the food, the hotel was almost the same. But the only thing that this offers is stalreway. com was very new and tasty. When I booked a tour, they told me that the guide in the past was a real stalker, and I was a souvenir about it. During my trip he showed some very interesting places, but most of all I liked the stories about his past “life of a stalker”. This trip was more interesting than my other trips to the zone !! Thank you Stalkerway. com for such an interesting trip!
Just imagine: you will go where a global catastrophe 30 years ago and walk along the ruins of a dead, abandoned city. Once people lived and worked here, and now grass has penetrated through the asphalt and over 46.45 thousand square meters. km (the size of a country like Slovakia) are in desolation. Excursion to the Zone of Alienation – this is what you will tell your friends, family, children and subscribers in social networks. Each snapshot you take will be a memory, and each walk will saturate a strong stream of emotions that do not disappear with time.
Variety of Chernobyl
The diversity of the Chernobyl zone is so great that it cannot be fully covered in one day of the visit. To unlock and make this wealth accessible to visitors to the Zone, a two-day travel program was developed on Stalkervey. In this program, in addition to an in-depth acquaintance with the most famous objects of the Zone (Chernobyl NPP, Pripyat, Chernobyl), you will get a unique opportunity to dive into the amazing nature of the pristine corners of the Zone, meet interesting people – self-villages, and their life close to nature. The two-day visit provides an opportunity to assess the full degree of radiation contamination by visiting parts of the zone that are far from the exploded power unit.
